Add a job

Or fill it in by hand. The browser extension works on sites that block imports (LinkedIn, Workday).

Install the Chrome extension

Takes about a minute. After that, saving a job is one click on any job page.

  1. Download and unzip it

    Download the extension, then double-click gancho-extension.zip in your Downloads folder. You'll get a folder called gancho-extension. Keep it somewhere it won't get deleted.

  2. Open Chrome's extensions page

    Paste this into Chrome's address bar and press Enter (Chrome doesn't allow a direct link):

  3. Turn on Developer mode

    Flip the Developer mode switch in the top-right corner of that page.

  4. Click “Load unpacked”

    A new row of buttons appears on the left. Click Load unpacked and choose the gancho-extension folder from step 1.

  5. Pin it to your toolbar

    Click the puzzle-piece icon next to the address bar, then the pin next to Gancho so the Gancho icon is always visible.

  6. Save your first job

    Open any job posting (LinkedIn, Greenhouse, Lever, a company careers page) and click the Gancho icon. A green ✓ means it's in your Saved column. Tip: highlight the job description first to save exactly that text.

Stay signed in to Gancho in Chrome. The extension uses the same sign-in. If it ever says “Sign in”, it'll open this site for you.

Add someone you know

A friend, ex-colleague or alum at this company. Gancho will draft an intro request you can send them.
